Earning extra pocket money: jobs for kids

Earning extra pocket money: jobs for kids

For the last year or so, the girls have been earning their spare cash with the help of these ‘I spied you being good’ jars.  Super simple to make with some storage jars and decorate with Sharpies. Check out last year’s blog post here.

Now this strategy might still work for the youngest at 8 years old.  But let’s face it, when they get to a certain age, a storage jar and some Sharpies just won’t cut it.  The 11 year old needs hard cash.  Fast!

This past month she’s spent a small fortune in coffee shops and consequently she’s struggling to find the money to cover her share of her mobile phone bill which is due in a few days.

And don’t forget she’s after that new shiny bag from New Look.

Oh, and she needs money for that new hairband she saw the other day.

I think it’s time to start earning Little Miss!  Life is turning expensive for you.

Of course, she’s only 11 so the job market is tough #brexitforyou

However, I saw some short term work advertised locally which she may like to apply for.

Decent wage.  Short commute.  Clear specification.

And the boss sounds fan-dabi-dosi!

Wonder if she’ll apply?
