British Pie Week 6-12th March

British Pie Week 6-12th March

If you need me this week I’ll be at the supermarket stocking up on puff pastry and pie filling.

It’s British Pie Week!

I prefer pies just with a lid, which, granted, I know is pretty much just a casserole with a pastry hat on.  But in fairness, you get more filling that way.

And while I’ve made pastry in the past, shop bought pastry is a decent alternative.  So save yourself time, stick the casserole in the slow cooker, buy some ready made pastry, ready-rolled even better, and get out your mini cookie cutters to personalise your pie to suit the moment.

Pies for all occasions…

To help the children remember to hand in their forms…

To welcome friends to the neighbourhood…

Don’t forget to add ribbon and a gift tag…

Pies for your movie night…

Pies to make use of left over roast dinners…

Take a breather from the Christmas dinners with a New Year pie…

Pies fit for royalty…

Pies to mark important milestones…

Welcoming our first ever dishwasher into our home

Pies for charity…

Pie to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer

If you’re making someone their own pie and they’re not overly keen on sharing, probably best to make that clear…

Or pies simply because you’re just a cut above the rest…

Have fun with your sweet and savoury pies this British Pie Week.
